ISES
April Meeting
April
18, 2007
Speaker: Ray Compton
Ray
Compton has had, by his own admission, a very interesting
life. After starting his professional career in sports journalism,
he moved on to sports marketing stints with the Indiana
Pacers, Indianapolis Ice hockey team, and the Indianapolis
Colts. At every stop, Compton helped substantially increase
attendance and awareness. In addition, Ray’s signature
promotions made him the very popular public face of three
successful organizations.
But
behind Ray’s showman’s persona is a history
of thoughtfully assessing a situation, devising a plan and
solving a problem. And with the creation of Compton Strategies
in early 2005, companies of all sizes are now taking advantage
of Ray’s unique abilities.

Peer's
Choice-Individual
This
year the recipient of the Peers Choice Award for contributions
by an individual was given to Tina Mahern of Tina Mahern
Events. Her work on the PACE Committee was extensive and
she was an integral part of the event’s success. In
addition to her work on PACE, Tina was always available
at the monthly meetings to help out in any way she could;
whether it was selling raffle tickets or passing out flyers.
Her enthusiasm and eagerness to contribute were evident
throughout the year.
Peer's
Choice-Company
This year the recipient of the Peers Choice Award for contributions
by a company was given to A - Classic Party Rental. Whenever
ISES Indiana needed rentals, A - Classic answered the call;
from the first monthly meeting last July to the Education
Conference to PACE. Their resourcefulness, flexibility and
generosity have been unwavering.
The
2006 PACE entries were judged by the ISES Minneapolis-St.
Paul Chapter.
A special
thanks again to all members who entered a category and sponsored
the event.
