PACE Awards - March 4, 2011

Everything comes first circle! ISES-Indiana Chapter members witnessed and took part in that firsthand at the Annual PACE Awards which included an 80's theme. The throwback brought out a lot of old fashion trends that should probably stay just that. But nonetheless, there was a parade full of people that pulled out their old prom dresses with shoulder pads and big bangs, those that were channeling their inner-Madonna, and those that were having fun bringing back the looks of Run-DMC and Vanilla Ice!

The theme provided a jovial mood for an incredible night of awards recognizing the best in Indianapolis from wedding planners to caterers to event production. There was a significant change in the format of the event this year that worked particularly well. The format mocked that of a Golden Globes. The awards were given out throughout the evening, taking breaks inbetween meal courses. Again, it lightened the mood and let everyone in attendance mingle with each other. Job well done to an excellent committee led by Leah McFarland and Bryna O'Neil.

Congratulations to the winners:

Meet the Board

Leah McFarland
Partner, Eventfull Planning
ISES Indiana - Director at Large

Leah began her career as an event planner for a non-profit organization at Indiana University in 2000. In 2002, Leah joined Marriott Hotels, where she would work in catering sales and event management until 2008. During her time with Marriott, Leah opened two upscale hotels properties and planned everything from intimate weddings and events, to conventions for more than 1200 people. After becoming the Director of Catering for The Bridgewater Club in 2008, she decided she wanted to be able to provide a more full service event planning experience for her clients beyond what she could do as the venue representative. Leah joined Eventfull Planning, LLC in May of 2009. Leah is a Marriott Certified Wedding Planner, on the International Special Event Society Board of Directors for 2009-2011.

Leah lives in Noblesville, IN with her husband Chad, daughter Marci and two family dogs Annie and Lady. Outside of her role as partner with Eventfull Planning, Leah enjoys gardening, spending time with her large extended family and working in her other career interest as a Buyer Partner with Morris Group Realty in Broad Ripple.
