Spotlight
Monica
Richard has a new position with the IMA and Wolfgang Puck
Catering! When Wolfgang Puck signed their contract with
the IMA they brought in people from other Wolfgang Puck
cities to open the location, however wanted a local person
to join the team for Social Events and Weddings. With Monica’s
vast experience from doing over 500 weddings while with
her former employer, The Omni, she was the perfect choice.
Monica
started her new position the week the museum opened in May
and she enjoys the variety of the 3 reception locations.
One location is a large ballroom with large windows overlooking
the gardens, another is a large colorful space entering
the galleries and the most charming location is the former
playhouse of the Lilly family, the Garden Terrace. Each
space has its own unique sense of style, therefore making
each event different
from one another. From the most intimate wedding, to a large
gala, the complete individuality of each event is what she
enjoys the most. She has weekends this summer that are hosting
more than one wedding, yet each will “feel”
completely different from an all white floral garden theme
to a nightclub under a tent on the grounds. When asked what
her favorite event has been thus far, she said hosting a
seven course dinner with wine pairings to celebrate a 75th
birthday was, to date, the highlight for her.
When
not at work, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband
Paul and her two children, Kyle who is 2 ½ and Sabrina
who is 1½.

and increase overall participation, This month's meeting
focused primarily on recap of the community outreach project
which took place in conjunction with MDFF this past weekend
- "Scavenger Hunt" - it was a huge success! We

Community
Outreach Recap
On
July 31, downtown Indianapolis was crawling with scavenger
hunters. ISES chose the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation
(MDFF) as its recipient for their Community Outreach Project.
Kyle Buckley and her committee worked with MDFF for several
months planning the Scavenger Hunt 2005. The day consisted
of a downtown hunt for 26 teams and an After Party at Mavris
Arts & Events Center for over 200 guests.
The
Scavenger Hunt winners are:
1st
place – “O” Faces
2nd
place – The Bean Counters
3rd
place – Perfect Wedding Guide.
Lori
Fields and her committee, which consisted of ISES volunteers,
planned the After Party with a survivor-like theme. Food
was graciously donated from ten Indianapolis caterers and
restaurants. The entire day was a great success. MDFF was
pleased with the outcome. ISES and all those involved should
be proud of a job well done!!
