November Meeting Recap
ISES members were treated in the finer points of polite business communication. Loretta Smith of Fine Touches Make the Difference gave the membership a lesson in communicating professionally and politely.
The discussion was broken down into two types of common business communication, cell phones and emails. We first discussed the importance of using your cell phone politely and at appropriate time. This includes turning off your phone when going into meetings and luncheons as well as not accepting phone calls when in conversation. It was discussed how the constant taking of phone calls makes that who you are with feel unimportant. When discussing emails, we discussed that emails need to be concise, spelled correctly and grammatically correct. It was also discussed to walk away from important emails to make sure that you have not left out a point and that you are not missing an attachment.

These lessons were important to the attendees as we use these forms of communication often.
