January Meeting Recap
ISES members were WOW’ed in January by the Wedding WOW meeting held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Attendees were able to first enjoy a gallery of fantasy tables created by local vendors as well as a showing of bridal fashions by C.C. Elaine Bridal Chic. Guests were then ushered upstairs for lunch in the ballroom. The speaker, Sasha Souza, a nationally recognized Bridal Consultant, gave a presentation about her experiences in the bridal industry. She spoke about the importance of details and using new ways to use color in design. ISES Indiana was excited to co-host the January meeting with the Indiana chapter of ABC, so that many different professionals could enjoy and learn from this renowned speaker.

Member Spotlight - Iris Dillon
Iris Dillon
Director of Special Events and Broad Ripple Art Fair
Indianapolis Art Center

Iris began her career in special events at the Madame Walker Theatre Center in 1993. Iris was responsible for overseeing the box office/Ticket Master Outlet, facility usage for both internal and external events as well as overseeing a staff of six. She left the Walker in 1998 and joined the Indianapolis Art Center as Director of Special Events and Rentals. In 2004 Iris became Director of Special Events and Broad Ripple Art Fair. The Art Fair is the largest annual fundraiser for the Art Center and one of the Midwest’s premier art fairs. The Board ripple Art Fair showcases over 225 artists, four entertainment stages, food courts, over 400 volunteers and brings in more than 27,000 visitors during a weekend in May! The Indianapolis Art Center has given Iris the opportunity to broaden her expertise as she has been responsible for facilitating Rhythms on the Riverfront Concert Series and ARTSPARKLE another fundraising gala that is into its fourth year.

Iris served on the Board of Directors for ISES as Director of Business Brilliance during the 2004-05 year under Gene Huddleson and 2005-06 under Leslie Swathwood. She feels strongly that this experience was very educational as well as an opportunity to build lasting friendships.

Iris is a mother of two, JaNae age 20 and Larry age 12 and a grandmother of Jaice, six months, the real joys of her life.
