Not Another Luau...How to immerse your guests in the overall theme experience

At the June 20th meeting each table was assigned a event theme and we all brainstormed creative ways to take our table’s theme to the next level.
Then, each table's top 5 ideas were presented to the group.
Here's a recap:


Our topic for this month is "Not another Luau" but your client insists it is!

Venue-cover pool with glass dance floor, sand volleyball court
Invitations- in a bottle, print on flip flop on a coconut
Entertainment- hula dancers, Don Ho music, surf board contest, hula contest, limbo
Rentals/décor- life guards (with stands), fruit cps, flip flop fashion show, bamboo place mats, totem poles, stone carvings, palm trees, banana leaves
Favors- CD of music (use as coasters), sunscreen, etc.
Lighting/AV- tiki lights
Catering- seafood, signature cocktail with flip flop stir, edible orchids, hog roast, serve on planks, bananas foster, chocolate fountain with fruit kabobs
Transportation- tropical bus (with music, lei, HI trivia)
