May
Meeting Recap
Here
is what you missed at the May Meeting, "Racing
Against Time"…
The
May ISES Indiana meeting was presented by David Spear,
CSEP, President of Classic Effects in New Orleans,
LA. He answered the question, “How do we manage
family, work, and community involvement and not become
overwhelmed?” With the Indy 500 practice zooming
behind him, David discussed his formula for dealing
with all the demands put on us by our families, jobs
and day-to-day life and shared with us how he has
learned to establish values and priorities. Over 50
registrants had the opportunity to take part in this
fun and informative day at the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway. After a tasty lunch and a wonderful educational
session, attendees were encouraged to walk around
the speedway and enjoy practice or take a tour of
the garage area.
Thank you to our May Sponsors:
Crystal Catering, Flowers by Tiffany and A-Classic
Party Rental. Click on their logos below to visit
their website and learn more about their company.

Jason
Felders
Communication Director
Originally
from St. Louis, Mo. Jason moved to Indianapolis to
attend Butler University, where he earned his Bachelor
of Arts, Music (Voice Concentration) degree. Soon
after graduation he decided that singing opera was
not for him and began working in the box office at
Beef and Boards Dinner Theater. One year later he
was hired part-time at the Indiana Historical Society
as the Special Events Assistant. In his 5th year with
the IHS he is now the full time Special Events Manager.
After
heading up Business Brilliance 2004 Jason has been
thrilled to be the 2004-2005 Communications Director.
“This position has given me a great diversion
from my daily job,” he states. “The opportunity
to use a different side of my creativity has been
a great stress reliever.”
In
his spare time, Jason is an amateur photographer.
He is currently in the process of redesigning his
website. “This is another creative outlet for
me. Photography is something that I can do to escape
reality. I have found that digital art gives you so
many ways to manipulate a photograph it makes the
escape even easier.”
Jason
looks forward to serving as the 2005-2006 Communications
Director. “This has been a great year for our
chapter and I look forward to an even stronger year
to come!”
