1) How long have you been in the events industry? I've been photographing weddings, portraits and special events since 1994.

2) What first interested you in being an event professional? I've always loved photography! Ever since I can remember, I've had a camera in hand. After photographing a few of my friends weddings many years ago, I realized how much fun it is to photograph weddings and decided that was my calling. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to capture the happiest day of our client's lives. Every weekend we become a part of another couple's love story and to be able to document that through artistic images makes me feel so lucky to have found my life long career.

3) What has your best event been? That’s a tough question, there are dozens that stick out in my mind when I think of our favorite events but they all seem to have a common theme about them. They were all well planned weddings filled with happy couples who were “into” their photos as much as we were and they allowed us plenty of time for great images to be taken on their wedding day, it doesn’t get any better than that!

4) What has been your worst event and how did you overcome the challenges? We had an outdoor wedding that got rained out last year. The venue told our couple to get married in the rain anyway and refused to use the indoor back-up plan for whatever reason. We were shooting in the pouring down rain and everyone, including the couple, was soaked from head to toe. The rain ruined one of our cameras (thank goodness for insurance) yet we never missed a shot that day. We decided that if we could all survive that event, we could survive anything!

5) How did you first learn about ISES Indiana? I had heard about ISES over the years and decided to join after a few of my friends told me they are members and really enjoy it.

6) What do you feel the value is of being an ISES Member? During my first ISES meeting, I felt a sense of camaraderie among the members. It has been nice to have the opportunity to really talk to people and get to know them personally at ISES events, rather than just “in passing” on the wedding day. Every ISES member that I’ve met genuinely cares about the success of their events, which is something equally important to me. This level of dedication makes me want to refer ISES members to all of our clients.

7) Words of Wisdom: please share a favorite quote or something that you would like to pass on to others. Indiana weather is unpredictable, always have an indoor back-up plan for weddings and be ready to use it! :)
