February Meeting Recap
Platinum was the word of the day for ISES members as we enjoyed Conseco Field house’s hospitality. The room was decked out with platinum accents, which lent itself to this month’s speaker’s theme. Brooke Billingsley spoke about customer service and cited various models. ISES members were able to reflect on their own experiences in both giving and receiving customer service and how it affects our business.

I have been the Director of Catering for the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Historic Union Station, Indianapolis Downtown for 2 years. Before my current position, I was in hotel sales for almost seven years - most recently as the Director of Sales for the Homewood Suites by Hilton. While I do enjoy sales, my true passion is for meetings and special events. Some of my favorite events we hosted in 2007 include The NFL Opening Kick Off Party, and the St. Francis Chrysanthemum Ball.

Crowne Plaza Hotel at Union Station offers over 57,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Meetings and events from 10 – 1000, we can accommodate all sizes and all budgets. The Grand Hall and Illinois Street Ballroom at Union Station are perfect for weddings and galas, while our Executive Boardroom is just right for corporate meetings.

Being a member of ISES is important to me for all of the benefits it provides. I enjoy the networking and educational opportunities as well as getting new ideas from the monthly meetings. I am excited about the opportunities and relationships within ISES, and want to get more involved with the organization. We are looking forward to hosting the Pace Awards and Business Brilliance this year!
